  • Digging into a new journey, China Railway Construction Heavy Industry's "Shu Chang No. 1" open TBM has officially entered the stage
    Nov 22, 2023
Recently, the tunnel engineering tool "Shu Chang No. 1", the first multi-support TBM in Southwest China jointly built by China Railway Construction Heavy Industry and Shu Road Group Sichuan Road and Bridge, successfully held a stepping ceremony at the TJ5 section of Xixiang Expressway, marking the opening of the Xixiang Expressway. The Yanyuan Tunnel of the Hong Kong Expressway has officially entered the TBM construction stage. It is understood that the "Shu Chang No. 1" open TBM is used in the construction of the Yanyuan Tunnel of the Xixiang Expressway. The designed cross-section size of the tunnel guide tunnel is 8.5 meters in diameter, the excavation length is 10 kilometers, and the tunnel has a herringbone slope along the line. By focusing on analyzing the geological characteristics of the Yanyuan Tunnel and combining the design, use, and construction experience of more than a hundred TBMs, the R&D team of China Railway Construction Heavy Industry added steel segment support, auxiliary propulsion, and bottom arch anchor drilling rigs to the existing mature open TBMs. and other innovative designs to adapt to unfavorable geology such as fault fracture zones, large deformation of soft rock, sudden mud and water, low gas, etc. to ensure that the TBM can continue, balanced, and rapid tunneling when the geology is suitable. When encountering bad geology, it can pass safely and steadily, which improves the ability of the open TBM to cope with complex geological tunnels. This time, the "Shu Chang No. 1" open TBM was used in the construction of the Yanyuan Tunnel of Xixiang Expressway, which is an important measure to promote the safe and efficient construction of the Xixiang Expressway Tunnel Project. In the future, Railway Construction Heavy Industry will sincerely cooperate with Sichuan Road and Bridge of Shudao Group to provide We will work together for the early completion of the Yanyuan Tunnel. • This super project is completed!
    Nov 30, 2023
The main line of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor, a major national project, is completed At 10:15 on November 28, Guangdong Communications Group announced that the main line of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor, a major national project, was completed. The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Channel is a cross-sea channel connecting Shenzhen to Zhongshan. It is a cross-sea cluster project integrating "bridges, islands, tunnels, and underwater interconnections". The project adopts the East Tunnel and West Bridge scheme. The route starts from the Shenzhen Airport Interchange, connects with the second phase of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Coastal Expressway, crosses the Pearl River Estuary to the west, lands at Ma'an Island in Zhongshan, and connects with the expressway under construction, and is realized through the connecting line Landed in Shenzhen, Zhongshan and Guangzhou on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. The project has a total length of 24 kilometers, two-way eight lanes, and a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour. It is currently the most difficult cross-sea cluster project in the world to comprehensively construct. During the construction process, the project created many "best in the world" such as the world's first extra-long two-way eight-lane submarine immersed tube tunnel. Currently, the project is making every effort to promote the construction of housing, electromechanical and ancillary projects. It is planned to be completed and opened to traffic in 2024. By then, the journey from Zhongshan to Shenzhen will be shortened from about two hours to less than 30 minutes.
